2025 Lotus Emeya

Safety

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Lotus Emeya doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The Ioniq 6 N has standard Parking Collision Avoidance Assist that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The Emeya doesn’t offer automatic braking for stationary objects directly to the rear.

Both the Ioniq 6 N and the Emeya have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

Warranty

The Ioniq 6 N comes with a full 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car. The Emeya’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 2 years or 24,000 miles sooner.

The Ioniq 6 N comes with free roadside assistance for 5 years unlimited miles. Hyundai will send help if you run out of gas, need a jump-start, lock your keys in or need any assistance on the road. Lotus doesn’t give free roadside assistance for the Emeya.

Hyundai’s powertrain warranty covers the Ioniq 6 N 7 years and 64000 miles longer than Lotus covers the Emeya. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 10 years or 100,000 miles. Coverage on the Emeya ends after only 3 years or 36,000 miles.

There are almost 20 times as many Hyundai dealers as there are Lotus dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Ioniq 6 N’s warranty.

Engine

The Ioniq 6 N’s standard electric motors produces 38 more horsepower (641 vs. 603) than the Emeya’s standard electric motors.

Tires and Wheels

For better traction, the Ioniq 6 N has larger tires than the Emeya (275/35R20 vs. 255/45R20). The Ioniq 6 N’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Emeya (275/35R20 vs. 265/40R21).

The Ioniq 6 N’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Emeya’s standard 45 series front and 40 series rear tires.

Chassis

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 N may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 900 pounds less than the Lotus Emeya.

The Ioniq 6 N is 8 inches shorter than the Emeya, making the Ioniq 6 N easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

Cargo Capacity

The Ioniq 6 N’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The Emeya 4-Passenger doesn’t offer folding rear seats.

Ergonomics

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the Ioniq 6 N has standard extendable sun visors. The Emeya doesn’t offer extendable visors.
